The plaza espana, renowned for its beauty, has caught the eye of many film directors, including George Lucas, who claims to have fallen in love with the square. If you’re a science fiction fan, you’ll have recognized it straight away: it’s the location used to represent the planet Naboo in Epidode II, Attack of the Clones of the Star Wars saga. Many locations in Spain were used to film the hit series Game of Thrones. The main ones are, of course, Girona, which represents King’s Landing as well as Braavos in the series, and the Real Alcazar, which was used for the kingdom of Dorne.
