In this post we tell you where these mills are located and a bit of their history.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-plain is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Located a few kilometers from Consuegra, these 12 mills offer one of the most amazing and traditional images of the Castilla-La Mancha region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"461\" src=\"https:\/\/travelvibes.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/molinos-de-Consuegra-que-ver-Toledo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7228\" srcset=\"https:\/\/travelvibes.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/molinos-de-Consuegra-que-ver-Toledo.jpg 900w, https:\/\/travelvibes.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/molinos-de-Consuegra-que-ver-Toledo-300x154.jpg 300w, https:\/\/travelvibes.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/molinos-de-Consuegra-que-ver-Toledo-768x393.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Its construction dates from between the 16th and 19th centuries, being located in the highest part of <strong>Cerro Calderico<\/strong> to take advantage of the force of the wind in this area and thus help to grind the cereals. In these same hills, we must also highlight the <strong>Castillo de la Muela,<\/strong> being one of the best preserved buildings in the area. This construction began in the middle of the 10th century, at the time of the splendor of the Caliphate of C\u00f3rdoba, finishing its works in the middle of the 13th century by the Knights of the Order of San Juan de Jerusal\u00e9n.<\/p>\n\n<p>Although it is not known exactly if these mills were part of the inspiration for <strong>Miguel de Cervantes<\/strong> to write the adventures of Don Quixote de la Mancha, these, in their last remodeling, were baptized with the name of this famous novel; <strong>El Bolero, el Rucio o el Sancho<\/strong> are some of these names.<\/p>\n\n<p>Contemplating these windmills in the evening light is one of the most beautiful images of this area of \u200b\u200bCastilla-La Mancha.
