These gardens were originally created for Jacques Majorelle<\/strong>, a French-born painter<\/strong> who fell in love with Morocco. He chose to settle there and build a villa. He became famous for depicting Moroccan life in his paintings, and his most famous work is the tropical garden with its cacti, palms and ferns<\/strong>. The villa was subsequently purchased, renovated<\/strong> and reopened<\/strong> to the public by Yves Saint Laurent<\/strong>, who also took care of the gardens, which had fallen into disrepair since the death of the previous owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is Marrakech’s main square<\/strong>, located in the heart of the Medina<\/strong>.
