Central Market

The Central Market is a covered market in the historic center of Valencia, built in modernist style.

Valencia Cathedral

The Cathedral of Valencia was built between 1262 and 1356 and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
The building is an unusual mixture of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles. Before the Reconquest, a mosque stood on this site.

Church of St. Nicholas of Bari and St. Peter Martyr

San Nicolás de Bari and San Pedro Mártir is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Valencian Gothic style.

La Lonja de la Seda

The Lonja de la Seda is the old silk trading market from the 15th century, located in the Market Square.
In 1996, UNESCO declared the Lonja de la Seda a World Heritage Site.

Central or Historic District of Valencia

The Barrio Central or Barrio Histórico of Valencia is the area where the city was founded and developed during the colonial era.

El Carmen neighborhood

The lively neighborhood of El Carmen is located in the historic center of the city.

Valencia Bullring

The Plaza de Toros de Valencia, officially Plaça de bous de València, is a bullring built between 1850 and 1859 in neoclassical style, inspired by Roman civil architecture.

The Holy Chalice

Tradition holds that the chalice shown is the Holy Grail, the cup from which Jesus Christ drank during the Last Supper.

Serranos Gate

The Serranos Gate, also known as the Serranos Towers, is one of the twelve gates that formed part of the old Christian city wall.
