This journey through Egypt will take place in four stages, each offering a unique immersion into the history and culture of the country.🇪🇬
The first stage will be Luxor, a mythical city on the banks of the Nile, where majestic temples and pharaonic vestiges immerse visitors in the heart of ancient history.📜
📍 Luxor is an Egyptian city built on the ruins of the city of Thebes, which was the capital of the New Empire of Ancient Egypt, and capital of the IV nomo of Upper Egypt. It is located on the east bank of the Nile River, about 200 km north of the first cataract of Aswan.
The second stage will take us to Abu Simbel, a spectacular site where the grandiose temples of Ramses II and Nefertari, carved into the rock, bear witness to the grandeur of ancient Egypt.🏛️
📍Located 280 km south of Aswan and 70 km from the border with Sudan. It has two impressive temples, a large one of Ramses II and a smaller one dedicated to his wife Nefertari. They were moved to the place where they are now, due to the works of the Great Dam, with the participation of UNESCO.
Then, we will head to Aswan, a quiet and fascinating city, famous for its impressive dam, the island of Philae and its unique landscapes on the banks of the Nile.🏞️
📍Aswan is the southernmost city in Egypt, on the eastern bank of the Nile, at the height of the first cataract and capital of the governorate of the same name. Its population is approximately 219,017 inhabitants and is located 106 meters above sea level.
Finally, the last leg will take us to Cairo, the vibrant Egyptian capital, where the pyramids of Giza, the enigmatic Sphinx and the treasures of the Egyptian Museum await us to close this exceptional journey.𐦐
📍Cairo is the capital of Egypt and its governorate. It is the largest city in the Arab world, the largest metropolitan region in the Middle East (and second city after Tehran) and second largest metropolitan region in Africa in area and population size (third at the city level). Egyptians, especially fellow citizens of the capital, often refer to it as Mişr (Arabic for “the country’s name”).
