The Fallas de Valencia is a traditional and vibrant festival celebrated in the city of Valencia, Spain. This lively and colorful event takes place annually from March 15 to March 19. The point of Fallas is the creation and display of sculptures known as “ninots”. These sculptures are often various aspects of society, politics, and popular culture. The creation of ninots begins months in advance, as local artists and communities invest time and effort in crafting these impressive, often larger-than-life structures made from wood, papier-mâché, and other materials.
Throughout the Fallas de Valencia, the streets come alive with parades, music, traditional costumes, and a general atmosphere of joy and celebration.
